Hospice

 

At Cedar Village Hospice, our focus is on care for our residents.  We celebrate the individual and recognize their unique needs, histories and personalities.  We offer services for the whole person, meeting their physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs to ensure that they achieve an optimal quality of life.  Cedar Village Hospice is a community, nonprofit organization.  Built on a foundation of Jewish values, Cedar Village is open to individuals of all faiths.

 

Hospice services are focused on quality of life for terminally ill patients, those who no longer seek treatments to cure and who are expected to live for six months or less.  These services provide comfort without aggressive treatment, focus on quality of life for patients and their families, and are administered by an interdisciplinary team of professionals. 

 

Cedar Village Hospice provides the highest quality care and case management to those with life-limiting illnesses.  Patients, families and caregivers are involved in the decision-making process and participate in their plan of care.  The focus of the care is palliative versus curative. 

 

Palliative care is an interdisciplinary approach focused on relieving suffering and providing the best possible quality of life for patients and their families. 

 

Cedar Village Hospice provides a team of professionals with volunteers who administer a plan of care specific to each patient that also includes input from family members or caregivers.  The Cedar Village Hospice team includes a Medical Director, a Registered Nurse, a Medical Social Worker, a Registered Dietitian, a Hospice Aide, a Consultant Pharmacist and volunteers.
