Rehabilitation Center

At Cedar Village, a not-for-profit retirement community, care of our residents is our first priority. We celebrate the individual and recognize their unique needs, histories and personalities. Cedar Village has long been recognized for providing a full range of therapy services, including speech, occupational and physical therapy, using our own staff of highly skilled and dedicated therapists. Our experienced nursing staff adds another key dimension and allows Cedar Village to care for even the most complex rehabilitation patients and achieve greater outcomes.

The Rehabilitation Center at Cedar Village provides a state-of-the-art therapy gym that includes inpatient and outpatient areas that address individual client needs. This allows discharged patients to continue their progress with the same therapy team they have come to know and trust as they build their strength and get back to their daily lives. Prior to that, patients recuperate and rehabilitate following surgery, illness or injury with highly trained staff and equipment that can adjust for all levels of care.

For life skills practice, Cedar Village offers a full size kitchen, laundry, bedroom and bathroom suite incorporated into the therapy gym which allows therapists to work directly with patients in a safe and supervised setting. Adjacent outdoor spaces include a gardening area for horticulture therapy, and sidewalks, grass and ground for practice with walking - either with walkers or alone, or with wheelchair use.

Cedar Village Rehabilitation Center also provides driving assessments as an additional valuable component to therapy. Cognitive and physical skills tests as well as in-car assessments are important and necessary for those wanting to be safe behind the wheel and on the roads.

The Cedar Village Rehabilitation Center therapy gym contains the highest modalities of equipment available including a medical laser for light therapy, recumbent bikes, resistive knee exercisers, weighted arm pulleys, Biodex balance trainers, rehabilitation treadmills, parallel bars and large screen Wii-habilitation activities and programs. Therapy is available seven days per week and a full range of therapies are offered including occupational, physical and speech.

If an inpatient stay is necessary, Cedar Village offers all the comforts you come to expect from home, such as a private room with private bath and shower, refrigerator, DVD player, flat screen television, home-like furnishings and tasty, nutritious meals. These settings allow you to relax and concentrate on your health, which will put you back on the path to recovery sooner.
