In October 2007, ten seniors, two community volunteers, two family members and eleven members of the Cedar Village staff had an incredibly successful ten-day Mission to Israel.  It was a perfect way to celebrate Cedar Village's 10th anniversary and to demonstrate our philosophy that "age is just a number."

As Cedar Village moves toward its' 13th anniversary, our thoughts again turn to a special way to commemorate that event.  In our Jewish tradition, 13 is the year of Bar and Bat Mitzvahs.  So, what better way to celebrate than a Bar and Bat Mitzvah Mission for Cedar Village residents?

In October 2009, residents will have the opportunity to travel to Israel and to experience the ceremony of Bar or Bat Mitzvah in Jerusalem, capping studies which will begin in May, 2009.

This unique Mission will be the first of its kind nationally and it promises to be the experience of a lifetime.

Each participant trip costs $4000.00.  We ask that you consider sponsoring someone's trip and sharing in this special mitzvah!
